1800′s – Samuel Hayne & Dudley Carter English Silver Tea & Coffee Set – Rare Finial

My interpretation of the hallmarks suggests that the coffee pot was made in London by Samuel Hayne & Dudley Carter in 1838, the tea pot in 1841, the cream in 1839 and the sugar in 1841.

The tray (16.5” x 22”) is plated and needs replating as the copper is showing through and was not made by Samuel Hayne & Dudley Carter

The Coffee pot 986 grams pure silver
The tea pot      882 grams pure silver
The sugar bowl 498 grams pure silver
The creamer      273 grams pure silver

Every piece is hallmarked every lid is hallmarked and all the finials are hallmarked.

Mid 1800s 7 Drawer Dresser

A very rare and very unique piece of furniture.  I have dated it to 1840s in England , it was moved to New Zealand in the early 1900s and to Canada in the 1980s it is from the the family estate , It has 3 normal size drawers and the 2 square ones on either side of 2 smaller ones. The top is cracked or split but could be restored. The round pulls are inlaid with mother of pearl and the legs have steel casters  ( I do not if they are original ) , every drawer has a lock and the key works on all of them.
